The SOP structure stays the same, but emphasis changes by country. Stress academic and research fit for the USA, genuine study intent and a return plan for Canada, course relevance and career clarity for the UK, academic seriousness for Germany, and genuine student intent with financial stability for Australia.

Australian universities often ask for two or three LORs, but each university confirms the number. Coursework programs generally need academic LORs only, while research or experience-based courses need at least one professional LOR. Without specific instructions and with work experience, one academic and one professional LOR is ideal.

Australian university LORs should typically be on the institution's letterhead, written by someone from the institution where you studied or worked. They should carry the official seal, stamp and original signature, be in formal English and include the recommender's official contact details. Requirements vary, so verify each university's page.

Your law SOP for Australia should cover your motivation for law, academic background, relevant experience, interests, skills with examples, post-program career goals and university-specific reasons. An SOP is not mandatory at every university, so confirm requirements on each official page.
