As a recent graduate with no work experience, which program is better suited for me: a Masters in Management (MiM) or an MBA?

The distinction is not about prestige, it is about what the classroom assumes you already bring. An MBA cohort learns partly from each other's professional experience, so walking in without any leaves you without the case-study war stories your classmates trade on, while a MiM curriculum is built around teaching those fundamentals from scratch.

• Deferred MBA programmes: Harvard's 2+2 admits students straight out of their bachelor's degree but requires two years of work before the MBA actually starts, so it is not a true no-experience MBA.
• Career clarity: if you already know you want consulting, finance or general business roles, a MiM gets you recruiting access now instead of asking you to wait years for an MBA.

My Advice

Do not rush into an MBA the moment you are technically eligible on paper. If you are set on senior general-management credentials eventually, working for two to three years first will give admissions committees the leadership examples a MiM application cannot show. In the meantime, a MiM into consulting, finance or FMCG can build exactly that experience while you are already earning.
