Are there GKS scholarship eligibility requirements I must meet as an Indian student?
To be eligible for the Global Korea Scholarship, you and your parents must hold Indian citizenship. You need 80 percent or above, a top 20 percent class rank or a CGPA of at least 2.64 out of 4.0. Undergraduates must be under 25 and graduate applicants under 40.
The Global Korea Scholarship 2027 is fully funded for Indian students, and you must meet core requirements on nationality, marks, age, education and health. Both you and your parents must hold Indian citizenship, and dual citizens holding South Korean nationality cannot apply.
Core Eligibility Criteria
| Criterion | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Nationality | You and your parents must be Indian citizens |

Education Level Requirements
- Bachelor's: completed Class 12 or graduating by December 31, 2026, and current Bachelor's degree holders cannot apply.
- Master's: hold or expect a recognised Bachelor's degree.
- PhD: hold or expect a recognised Master's degree.
My Advice
Check your marks and date of birth against these rules before anything else, because these two points knock out many applicants. Then confirm the details on the official GKS page, since criteria can change each year.
