Illinois Tech offers a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, the only undergraduate AI program in the Midwest. This course provides students with a deep understanding of computational systems capable of interpreting sensory input, learning from experience, understanding human language, planning ahead, and supporting intelligent decision-making. Starting with foundational courses in programming, computer science, mathematics, and statistics, students progress to core AI concepts such as state-space search, game-playing, machine learning, neural networks, planning, computer vision, and language understanding. The program emphasizes both technical mastery and ethical collaboration, preparing students to apply AI across various sectors and pursue further graduate studies.
