Entry to the MChem Chemistry program requires A level grades of AAB, including Chemistry and one other science subject such as Biology, Physics, Mathematics, or Psychology. Other acceptable qualifications include an International Baccalaureate with 35 points overall, including 6 in Chemistry and a second HL science, and certain BTEC combinations. GCSE Mathematics and English Language at grade 6/B and 4/C respectively are also required. Additional qualifications like the Access to HE Diploma and Scottish Highers are considered on a case-by-case basis, provided science content is covered. An IELTS score of 6.5 overall with at least 5.5 in each component is needed for non-native English speakers.
