Applicants need AAA at A levels, including two science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, or Psychology. A Grade B GCSE in Mathematics is also required. Additional qualifications considered include the BTEC Extended Diploma with relevant science distinctions, IB with 36 points overall, and Scottish Highers with appropriate advanced level subjects. The course also requires a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall with at least 5.5 in each component.
