Students participating in the Homestay programme live with a host family for a specified amount of time, providing a chance for cross-cultural engagement between Canadians and international students. Students are assisted in adjusting to life in Canada by host families, who also gain knowledge of various nations and cultures. Students receive more chances to use their English and gain knowledge about Canadian customs, values, and ways of life.
