BFA in Production Design and Technology, Ohio University

This B.F.A. program offers students a broad study in all areas of production design and technology, or the option to specialise in scenery, costumes, lighting, or sound design. Students can enter directly through interviews and portfolio reviews or through the B.A. in Theater route, with an opportunity to submit a portfolio at the end of the first year. The course spans four years, providing hands-on experience in design and technical skills, supported by close mentorship from faculty and staff. Students get the chance to take on major creative, technical, or managerial roles, gaining real-world experience by assisting faculty on professional productions at renowned theaters.
