Students pursuing the BA in Art History must complete 36 credit hours of coursework. This includes core courses such as Art History I and II, a majors seminar, and a series of courses at the 200 and 300 levels. Additionally, students are encouraged to study broadly across various art historical areas, selecting courses from fields like African Art, Ancient Art, Modern and Contemporary Art, among others. A GPA of at least 3.5 in the major and an A in ARTH 399 are required for departmental honors.
