Admission of Johnson and Wales University

Applicants who are neither citizens or permanent residents of the United States (carrying a "green card" or permanent resident card) must meet the same admissions requirements as all other applicants, plus some additional documents.

The following documents must be submitted by international applicants:

Application

  • An international application that is correct, comprehensive, and legible must be submitted. All schools attended, along with dates of attendance, must be provided.

Transcripts

  • Official secondary school transcript including graduation date and topics and grades received. If relevant, diplomas and other external examination results should be presented. Students who have not yet completed secondary school must present a transcript containing all completed work, as well as projected results and graduation date.
  • All non-English documents must be accompanied by certified word-for-word translations.
  • Transcripts, mark sheets, diplomas, or certificates from all post-secondary schools attended, as well as course descriptions and credit values, must be submitted for transfer evaluation by applicants who have attended any college or university.

Proficiency in English

  • The results of the English Language Proficiency test (if applicable or available, please see the English Proficiency Requirements).
  • To be reviewed, all English Proficiency documents must be uploaded to the student's applicant portal.

Processing of I-20

  • The application portal was used to submit the reservation deposit.
  • a copy of the applicant's current passport's biographical section
  • Financial support for one academic year, as evidenced by a certified bank statement or a government sponsorship letter. Bank statements must be no more than three months old when they are issued.
  • Both the applicant and the sponsor must sign a financial declaration.
    If the student is currently studying in the United States on an F-1 visa, a transfer verification form is required. As needed, this form will be distributed to pupils.
  • To be reviewed, all I-20 paperwork should be uploaded to the student's applicant portal.


All documents and information should be clear and legible; if the International Admissions team cannot see critical material, the admissions process will be delayed.
