Master of Science in Medical Device Development, Munster Technological University

The MSc in Medical Device Development is a collaborative program between MTU's Engineering faculty and UCC's School of Medicine, supported by industry partners as part of the iEd Hub initiative. The course focuses on developing human-centric biomedical devices, products, services, and experiences. It combines engineering and medicine, along with transversal skills, to enhance the ability of engineers to understand clinical applications and involve healthcare professionals in the design process. You can study full-time in one year or part-time over two years, with flexible blended learning combining in-person and online classes. The program includes eight taught modules and a project, emphasizing industry-relevant design and development practices rather than a traditional thesis.
