This course is designed to develop scientists with technical skills in the design, development, production, analysis, and upgrading of products that promote human health and wellbeing. It equips graduates with an understanding of human nutrition and its influence on health and disease, allowing them to work across various sectors of the food and health industry. The curriculum covers foundational biological sciences like microbiology, biochemistry, and biotechnology, as well as nutrition modules including fundamentals of human nutrition, nutritional analysis, and food and health science. As students progress, they focus on specialized areas such as nutrition communication, epidemiology, clinical nutrition, functional foods, and food regulation. The program emphasizes practical laboratory experience and includes a structured work placement to expose students to real-world environments.
