Students must show evidence of the following to be admitted to the Master of Public Relations programme:
• A bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, public relations, communication, or a similar discipline (four years).
• A 3.0 (B) GPA in the last two years of undergraduate education is required.
• Two recommendation letters (one academic and one professional).
Students interested in learning more about Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) for admission should refer to section 2.1.8 of the MSVU Graduate Academic Calendar.
If a student has not attended a post-secondary institution for at least three years, a second professional letter of recommendation may be substituted for the academic letter of recommendation. In addition, if a student has not held relevant job but has recently attended a post-secondary institution, a second academic letter of recommendation can be submitted in place of a professional letter of recommendation.
Students must have completed the following courses in order to be admitted to the Master of Arts in Communication programme:
A four-year bachelor's degree in a communication-related discipline (e.g., public relations, communication studies, journalism, marketing communication) with a B average (GPA 3.0) in the final two years of study.
