About the Scholarship
- The goal of the Generation Google Scholarship: for Women in Computer Science is to support budding computer scientists in their pursuit of technological leadership.
- For the academic year 2022–2023, chosen students will receive a reward of 7,000 EUR (or its equivalent in their home country).
- Scholarships will be given out based on each applicant's demonstrated leadership skills, influence on diversity, and academic qualifications.
- All qualifying students who meet the prerequisites are eligible for the programme. Applications from women who are interested in computer science are especially welcomed.

Eligibility
- For the academic year 2021-22, you must be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- When you finish the scholarship programme, you must be in your second year of study at an approved university in your country.
- Be pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technical field closely connected to it.
- A high academic record is required.
- Demonstrate leadership and a desire to improve underrepresented groups in computer science.
Application Process
- Background information in general.
- Resume/CV.
- Academic transcripts from both your present and previous schools.
- One letter of recommendation from a professor, instructor, or supervisor.
- Answers to five brief essay questions 15 minute "meet and greet" with each candidate on the shortlist.
- Google's online test (will be sent 5-7 working days after the deadline).
- Recipients will be selected based on their overall strength of the essays and application materials compared to the entire applicant pool.
