SpaceMaster is a Master’s program spanning four semesters, equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits.

First-Year: The initial year of study is conducted at Luleå University of Technology’s Kiruna Space Campus in Sweden, offering a focused curriculum where students can earn 60 ECTS credits.

Second-Year: In the second year, students have the flexibility to choose one of the partner universities as their destination for the Master’s thesis project.

Project Opportunities: The Master’s thesis project can be conducted not only at partner universities but also at associate partners and relevant industrial and research organizations aligned with the program’s scope.

Specialized Tracks: SpaceMaster provides various specialized tracks and modules designed to cater to individual interests and career aspirations, ensuring a customised learning experience.

Upon successfully completing the program’s requirements, you will receive a Master’s Diploma from your chosen partner university. SpaceMaster students who meet the criteria for a Master’s Degree will be eligible for a Master’s Diploma certificate from Luleå University of Technology as well as a Master’s Diploma certificate from the partner university where they completed their second-year studies.

Please note that there is an application fee of 900 SEK (approximately INR 7000).

These below-mentioned eligibility criteria ensure that all SpaceMaster students have the necessary educational background and language skills to excel in the program.

Academic Qualifications: To qualify for the SpaceMaster program, you must have one of the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree
• Completion of a basic engineering program
• A Swedish Kandidatexamen with at least 180 ECTS credits.

Relevant Academic Background: Your academic background should align with specific areas, including but not limited to:

• Physics
• Space physics
• Engineering
• Robotics
• Mechatronics

Mathematics Proficiency: A minimum of 22.5 ECTS credits in mathematics at the university level is a prerequisite.

First-Year Fee for Non-EU Students:
Non-EU students attending the SpaceMaster program’s first year at LTU Kiruna Campus, Sweden, are required to pay a fee of 140,000 SEK, which is approximately equivalent to 10 lakhs INR.

Second-Year Fee:
The fee for the second year of the program varies and depends on the specific partner university chosen by the student. It is determined by the local fee structure of the selected university.

Scholarship Opportunities:
To alleviate the financial burden, scholarship opportunities are available for students, particularly non-EU students. These scholarships can significantly assist in covering tuition costs.
