Freshman applicants need have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and either a combined SAT score of at least 1330 on the critical reading and math parts of the test or an ACT composite score of at least 29 to be competitive for admission to the Honors College.

VCU expects you to have a 3.65 GPA and be above average in your high school class. You'll need a combination of A's and B's, with an emphasis on A's. If you took several AP or IB classes, your weighted GPA will improve and you will be able to demonstrate your potential to take college classes.
