INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Completed application for admission, including a major and a foreign address noted under "Home Country Address."
2. Bank statements showing at least $16,690 USD are currently available (scanned copy acceptable).
3. Each sponsor must submit a hand-signed and dated Sponsor Letter/Financial Guarantee Form within 6 months of the semester's start date (scanned copy acceptable).
4. English Transcripts from High School (scanned copy acceptable).
5. A statement stating where you intend to live while attending Butler University.
6. A copy of your current passport is required. If your birth certificate isn't available, a copy will suffice.
7. TOEFL 500 (PBT), 173 (CBT), 61 (iBT), IELTS 5.0 are all acceptable proofs of English proficiency. A secondary English grade of "C" or better and an overall grade point average of "C" or better for pupils whose country's official language is English.

Proficiency in English

English competence can be demonstrated by a secondary English grade and an overall secondary grade point average of 2.0 or higher for pupils whose country's official language is English. Otherwise, one of the choices listed below may be utilised. Scores must be from the last three years.

• TOEFL 61 (internet-based), 173 (computer-based), and 500 (paper-based) (Butler institution code: 6191)
• 5.0 on the IELTS
• English Test 90 on Duolingo
• 50 PTE
• Wichita State University's Intensive English Language Center requires Advanced Level II or above completion (IELC). In all classes, the student must receive a "C" or better.
• 12 hours or more of college or university credit (or one year of high school credit) from a U.S. college or institution with a 2.0 or "C" grade point average
