While particular qualifying requirements for each programme differ, the general guidelines for Cardiff University courses are listed here.

Language in English

The University requires a minimum IELTS score of 6.5. Depending on the course, the number could be significantly higher. If you do not meet the IELTS requirements, another option is to enroll in the University's full-time English for University Study programme.

Courses for Undergraduates

A minimum of 78-81 percent in the best four subjects in the XII grade exams is required (excluding Hindi and Physical Education).

Taught Postgraduate Courses

A minimum of 55-60 percent in a graduate degree from a recognised university is required.

Courses in Postgraduate Research

Students must have prior research experience in addition to a master's degree from a recognised university. A bachelor's degree with a passing mark of 55-60% is also required.
