  • The University of Surrey is a public research university located in Guildford, England. Formerly known as the Battersea College of Technology, it gained its university status and was renamed in 1966. 
  • The university is renowned as a pioneer in the field of mobile and satellite communications technology, with an ongoing project helping develop 5G communication platforms. 
  • The university offers over 90 undergraduate courses as well as over 100 postgraduate courses. The university also offers students a chance to pursue their doctoral studies.

The annual tuition costs vary between GBP 15,500 - GBP 22,000 depending on the course and its length. The university has a diverse student culture, with 33% of the total students being from foreign countries. 
  • Spaces like the MySurreyNest and The Marquee encourage students to gather together to collaborate and interact with the multicultural student body. Notable alumni who studied at the University of Surrey include Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, former President of Maldives, theoretical physicist Jim Al-Khalili and former Member of Parliament Liz McInnes.
