Applicants for Freshman Engineering
Freshman engineering applicants must meet one of the following math requirements in addition to the usual university criteria for admission:
- Score 3 or higher on Widener's free online math assessment.
- A minimum SAT Math score of 540 is required (or the equivalent ACT Math score of 21)
- For credit, present the requisaite IB/AP exam scores.
Applicants for Transfer Engineering
Students who have completed college-level courses and are transferring into an engineering programme must achieve all of the following requirements in addition to the usual university admission requirements:
- All post-secondary colleges attended had a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.
- Calculus I* with a grade of "C" or above
- A "C" or better in one of the following subjects: General Chemistry I, Physics I, or Biology I*.
- Calculus I and the science requirement course must be satisfactorily completed on the final official transcript. You may be conditionally admitted if courses are in progress at the time of application, but you must demonstrate successful completion of the courses before matriculation.
- Any NACES approved organisation can do a comprehensive, course-by-course credential evaluation including GPA calculation.
