If you choose to live off campus, you have a lot of choices. The Houseme website at Deakin University provides a database of local rooms, houses, and flats for rent near each campus. The university also offers an off-campus housing service that can assist you with Houseme, rental application paperwork, and knowing your rights and obligations as a tenant, among other things. 

The off-campus housing service can help. They regularly run information sessions for new arrivals and can help you with:

• Filling out rental application forms
• Understanding your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
