Office of Field Experiences
Students are placed in the Mid-Hudson Valley, Lower-Hudson Valley, NYC, Long Island, Utica, and Australia via the Student Teaching Office. In any one semester, this typically comprises 45 to 50 school districts. These districts were chosen because they are close to where students live, have a long history of cooperation, and have supervisors accessible. Education programme advisers and education chairs must be consulted for placements outside of these regions. In most cases, this is possible due to compelling circumstances.
Students are placed within 45 miles of where they will be residing while student teaching by the Student Teaching Office. To commute back and forth, you must supply your own vehicle.
