English language proficiency
If English isn't your first language, you'll need to show that you've completed a recognised English language course.

If your language scores are slightly below the acceptable level, you may be eligible for a pre-sessional English language course, which will allow you to avoid retaking any exams or tests.

You may not need to take an IELTS or comparable test if you received your secondary education in an English-speaking country or in English (such as International A-levels).

Year One of the International Calendar
In January, begin International Year one and go on to the second year of your undergraduate degree in September.

The International Year One, which is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree, provides academic and English language support tailored to international students' needs. The level of English assistance you receive is determined by your IELTS score, with options for IELTS scores of less than 6.5 and alternatives for IELTS scores of more than 6.5.
