Established in 2007, the Pures College of Technology is a private educational institution in Toronto, Canada. Business, IT and Social Sciences are the three fields of study with undergraduate, graduate, diploma and certificate courses. Some of the other popular methods are Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Event Management, Nursing, Information Systems Management, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Database Administration, Computerized Accounting and Quality Assurance & Systems Testing. Vocational skill training and English Language Studies Program is offered to make international students comfortable with the language.
To get admitted into Pures, a student should either have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or a minimum of Grade 12 education equivalent to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or appear for the Pures College Entrance Test and clear the program dependent cut-offs. Previous academic transcripts, CV, resume, scores on English Language Proficiency tests, and LORs are also submitted. '
Financial aid through Second Career, a Government of Ontario initiative, is provided to eligible students. The second Career allows students to get up to 33,786 CAD waived from their tuition or accommodation costs. Pures also provides study-work permits to students, and working 20 hours per week while studying full-time in courses longer than six months is allowed.
Pures do not provide on-campus accommodation, but housing advice is provided, and international students are set up to stay with local Canadian families or with other students renting apartments. The college has facilities like a transportation hub, shopping centre, supermarkets, banks, government offices, recreational areas and restaurants nearby.
The student union manages various clubs and societies that cater to students' academic and creative needs. Pures College offers career counselling services to assist students and alumni with placements and interviews. Workshops, internships and career fairs play an integral part in preparing students for the interviews.
