What are the requirements for overseas students to be eligible?

The following are the qualifying criteria and language requirements for applying to various programmes at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology that are available to overseas students:

• To be eligible for certificate programmes, students must have a high school diploma or certificate.
• A bachelor's degree is necessary for some courses.
• If necessary to calculate the entry scores, post-secondary courses will be evaluated as high school equivalents.
• A minimum of 75% in all four components is expected on the NAIT English Language Proficiency Exam.

International Students' English Requirements

International students from non-English-speaking countries, such as India, must demonstrate their language competency using one of the standardised English exam scores listed below:

Level 6 Courses at NAIT

• Each course must have a passing grade of 60% or above.

Assessment of Canadian Language Benchmarks

• In the areas of speaking, reading, listening, and writing, you will get an 8 out of 10.

Academic IELTS

• 6.5 bands overall, with a minimum of 6.5 in Speaking and 6.0 in Reading, Listening, and Writing.

TOEFL iBT is a computerised version of the TOEFL exam.

• 20 in Reading, Listening, and Writing, and 23 in Speaking

Duolingo is a language learning programme (DET)

• 115 or higher
