Internships

An internship is a learning opportunity that allows students to receive academic credit for their work experience. Internships are intended to improve a student's professional preparedness and job prospects. To gain credit, the internship must be done at a location where the supervisor has agreed to deliver structured learning experiences that support specific learning goals. Students must complete an Internship Application and have it approved by their school's Dean.

Guidelines for Internships:

• Students must have earned a minimum of 60 credits
• Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
• three internship credits require a minimum of 120 hours; students are allowed two internships in their degree programme, and they must complete a total of 6 credit hours of internship
• All parties must complete the Internship for Academic Credit application before the Add/Drop deadline for the corresponding semester, which is initiated by the student and requires action and response from the student, faculty advisor, internship location, and Dean of the School
