Victory Institute

The Victory Congressional Internship at the Victory Institute is preparing the next generation of LGBTQ public leaders. The Victory Congressional Internship brings outstanding LGBTQ college students to Washington, DC each semester for an intense leadership programme, which includes:

• An eight- or ten-week Congressional internship with a member of the LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus or an LGBTQ-friendly member of Congress to learn about the federal legislative process firsthand
• An educational and leadership development programme that allows participants to learn about careers in policymaking and interact with subject-matter experts from many industries in the District of Columbia.

Students will spend three days learning, networking, and discussing with hundreds of openly LGBTQ leaders in government, politics, activism, business, and community organisations at the Victory Institute's biennial International LGBTQ Leaders Conference. The Victory Congressional Internship helps young LGBTQ people become informed decision-makers and influential leaders who can create a good impact on the areas in which they live, and around the world.
