On-Campus Accommodation

 

All first-year college students are required to enrol in a freshman meal plan for both semesters and live on campus for two semesters (Fall/Spring or Spring/Fall). A Residency Requirement Waiver is available to students who have already completed two semesters at another university and who will be 21 years old on the first day of classes in the Fall semester. In the US, they have the option of living off-campus.

 

The following housing options are available to first-year students at the University of West Georgia.

 

  • Bowdon Hall: This is a conventional hall with rooms that sleep two people each. It provides amenities like individual study rooms, a full kitchen, a movie theatre, and music venues.
  • Strozier Complex: There are 62 single rooms in this pet-friendly residence hall. The Strozier complex features a designated dog walk area in addition to full-sized mattresses in a single room and an on-site kitchen.
  • Center Pointe Suites: For first-year students, this is their initial choice. It offers single and shared bathrooms, wardrobes, and furniture in its single and shared occupancy rooms. The resident hall also features a grill-equipped terrace.
  • The Oaks: Both single and double rooms with private or semi-private baths are available in this hall. The Oaks includes amenities like a meeting/presentation room, a pool table, as well as a vending machine den and is located near to East Commons eating hall.
  • University Suites: Residence halls in the suite type with semi-private toilets are available at University Suites. Additionally, it houses a conference room and the Academic Resource Center.

Off-Campus Accommodation

 

  • Studio apartments, 4 bedroom apartments, 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and single bedroom are among the residential types.
  • The typical monthly rent is between 1000 and 1400 dollars.
  • All of the necessary amenities are included in the student apartments, including power, water, gas, a modular kitchen, and unrestricted internet access.
  • The majority of the units are leased. The usual lease term is 7 to 12 months.
