The University of San Francisco, founded in 1855, provides more than 230 undergraduate, graduate, professional, and certificate programmes on its main campus. According to QS - World University Ranking, the University of San Francisco has been ranked between 801 and 1000 for three years, from 2018 to 2020. For the uninitiated, Times Higher Education (THE) accords equal weight to Teaching, Research, and Citations at 30% each, while QS places the most priority on Academic Reputation (40%) followed by Citations per Faculty at 20% and Faculty/Student Ratio each.
 

Additionally, the University of San Francisco is mentioned in the 2021 edition of the US News & World Report's National University Ranking, where it holds the 103rd place position. Earlier, the university had the 96th and 97th positions for 2018 and 2019, respectively.
