Undergraduate Course Eligibility Requirements

 

Academic Background:

 

The minimum standard for bachelor's degrees is broken out below according to the fields of study:

  • 2 years of formal education Equals science + history
  • 4 years of formal schooling plus English (or a teaching language)
  • 3 years of formal education = math (4 years recommended)
  • 2 years of formal schooling are required for science (3 years recommended)
  • 2 years of formal education are required for a language other than English (3 years recommended)
  • 1 year of formal schooling = Arts of Seeing and Acting
  • Preschool with options = one academic year

 

Grade Point Average (GPA) Requirements: California residents applying must have a GPA of 3.00 or above. Students from other states (outside of California must have a GPA of 3.40 or above. 3. Qualifying Exams - SAT/ACT Scores: No standardised test will be required of any freshmen applicants to UC Davis for the Fall Semesters of 2021 through 2024. During this time, SAT or ACT results won't be taken into account for selecting applicants or giving out scholarships.

 

Test results, however, may be used as an alternative method of achieving minimum eligibility requirements or for course placement after you enrol if you submit them with your application.

 

Requirements for Graduate Course Eligibility

 

Academic background:

 

  • The institution from where you obtained or will obtain your bachelor's degree requires a minimum 3.0 GPA (or equivalent)
  • When they enrol, qualified candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, with a combination of coursework and financial aid comparable to those for a University of California degree
  • For US colleges, regional accreditation is a must, while foreign institutions must be approved by a national higher education body (at the time the degree was earned)

 

Indian graduates must meet the following national requirements:

  • Indian students must possess a postgraduate or master's degree in addition to a four-year or three-year bachelor's degree
  • Indian students are required to complete 12 years of education, including the 10th and 12th grades, from state or central boards that have been approved

 

GMAT/GRE scores are required for certain programmes as are the results of other standardised exams.
