Admission Requirements

1.  International English Language Testing System (IELTS): The University demands a minimum band score of 5.5 on the IELTS exam.
2. International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP): The University requires an iTEP Academic score of 3.5.
3. A minimum score of 61 iBT on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required (Internet-based test). Please use their code 2533 while completing the TOEFL registration papers to have your official TOEFL score forwarded to Buffalo State.
4.  Test your English skills with Duolingo. They require a score of 90 on the Duolingo English Test.
5. Academic PTE (Pearson Test of English). A PTE Academic score of 44 is required.
