INTERNATIONAL FIRST YEARS ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

You must have finished secondary school or high school to enrol as a first-year student. Your education must be comparable to that of a secondary school or high school student in the United States.

  1. When converted to the US 4.0 grading scale, you must have a cumulative (overall) grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5.
  2. Completion of the English Language Proficiency Requirement is required. If you do not meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement at Portland State University, you may be admitted to the Intensive English Language Program (IELP).
