Admission of Northern Michigan University

Freshman applicants will no longer be required to submit their ACT or SAT scores in order to be considered for admission. Only your high school grade point average (GPA) will be considered for general admission. GPA is a greater predictor of college achievement, according to research.

You will be admitted to NMU if you have a total high school GPA of 2.25 or better.
We'll look at your courses and grades, your grade trend, the academic programme you chose, and any other information you give, including test scores if you wish to provide them, if your GPA is below 2.25. You may be admitted conditionally or just to that specific programme for some certificate and associate degree programmes.
