Depending on your class year and age, the university offers a variety of accommodation alternatives for both undergraduate and graduate students (and families, too). We can also accommodate students with specific needs such as impairments, allergies, service or emotional support animals, and other needs. Additionally, they provide gender-neutral housing that is quiet around the clock.
If you need assistance settling in or have questions about campus life, student resident assistants (RAs) and professional area coordinators can assist you. RAs are current Mills students who live in each house and use their knowledge to ease the transition to college by fostering an environment that is safe, supportive, and enjoyable for everyone. To ensure that you maximise your study time, the university wishes to make living on campus a location where you can engage with other people and discover a supportive community.
First-Year Student Housing
Our storied Warren Olney and Orchard Meadow residence halls in the heart of campus are traditionally where first-year undergraduate students dwell. Students establish a strong sense of community that aids in their integration into college life, campus exploration, and exposure to the Bay Area and beyond.
Housing for Continuing, Transfer & Graduate Students
Graduate students, undergraduates who have completed their first year, and students who are 21 years old or older may select to live in residence halls, campus residences, or shared cooperative housing. Online housing applications are available for incoming transfer and graduate students, and they include special requests and a roommate matching service. Residence halls and apartments have everything you need to make campus life a home away from home.
