Undergraduate Admissions at Jackson State University

The freshman admissions process is overseen by the office of undergraduate admissions. If students require additional information or assistance with any aspect of the admissions process, they are urged to contact the office.

The following documents must be submitted by students:

• Transcripts: All high school course work, the date of graduation, the average GPA, and the class rank should be included on the official transcript.
• ACT or SAT exam scores (the ACT College Code for Jackson State University is 2204, and the SAT College Code is 1341).

Graduate Admissions at Jackson State University

The graduate council at Jackson State University is in charge of admissions, as well as the formulation and coordination of general rules and processes for graduate programmes. It maintains uniform admissions requirements for pupils.

The following are the graduate admissions requirements:

• A 3.0 GPA or a Master's degree at the undergraduate level.
• All transcripts must be in one official copy.
• Official transcripts can be emailed or mailed to gradtranscript@jsums.edu using e-script, parchment, or another approved electronic provider.
• All applicants must present proof of immunisation.

International Students' Language Requirements

International students must demonstrate their English language proficiency by passing one of the following exams:
