On-Campus Accommodation

 

Hood College provides 840 students with an excellent housing experience in a variety of on-campus communities. Each of the six halls provides a distinct living experience.

  • New Residence hall

 

Some information required for the students

 

  • On a space-available basis, a limited number of singles are available to seniors and select juniors
  • Roommates are necessary for first-year and sophomore students; older students and students with approved housing accommodations may be exempt
  • All typical residence halls have four computers available for student use: three PCs and one Mac. Students can utilise one computer per level in the New Residence Hall. There are also numerous other computer laboratories on campus
  • Snack and beverage machines are available in all residence halls
  • The Internet is provided in every room in the resident hall (wired and wireless access available). Students can make free local and campus calls from hallway phones; long-distance calls must be paid for with a calling card
  • In the common lounge area of each residence hall, there is a huge, flat-screen high-definition television with cable television for groups to watch shows or movies
  • On-site laundry facilities are available in all accommodation areas at no additional cost to the student
