Admission of Georgian Court University

International students requiring an I-20 must submit official documents by June 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. In addition to the program's prerequisites, the following items are required to execute an admissions application:

  • A TOEFL score of 550 or higher on the paper exam or 79 or higher on the Internet-based test; OR an IELTS Academic test score of 6 or higher; OR a DUOLINGO English Test (DET) score of 100 or higher. Scores from tests done within the last three years are required. The submission of a lower than minimum TOEFL, IELTS, or DET score would be considered when accompanied by an SAT score above 1000 or an ACT score above 22.
  • Students who are native nationals of countries where English is the primary language are not required to show proof of English competence. Students who present evidence of at least one year of high-school or higher-level education with English as the language of instruction may be granted a waiver of the requirement to provide evidence of proficiency, provided that the student's performance was the equivalent of a GPA of 2.5 or higher and the English-language education was completed within the last three years. Official SAT or ACT results must be submitted by students who are not required to present evidence of English language ability.
  • Transcripts from institutions outside the United States or Canada that do not follow a U.S. or Canadian curriculum and/or are not in English must be evaluated in English by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services on an overall and course-by-course basis (NACES). In lieu of official transcripts, this evaluation must be provided directly from the evaluation service to the Office of Admissions.
  • Georgian Court University Financial Support Documentation; and Before receiving an I-20 form, students must submit a nonrefundable tuition deposit of USD $250.00 upon acceptance to Georgian Court. Applicants must request full-time employment (12 or more credits per semester). International students who need an I-20 form must submit their enrollment deposit by June 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.
  • Students must pay the US immigration SEVIS I-901 fee after receiving the I-20 form. Please visit http://www.fmjfee.com for further information about this fee. After that, the student must go to an embassy or consulate to get the visa and any further information. Additional information is available at http://www.uscis.gov. If in the United States on a student visa, international students can only attend one online course every semester.
