Ferris State University is a public institute headquartered in Big Rapids, Michigan, founded in 1884. Every year, over 11,165 students enrolled, with an acceptance rate of 87%. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered by seven colleges, namely the College of Business, Michigan College of Optometry, and College of Health Professions. Some popular courses are Actuarial Science, Social Work, Marketing, Educational Leadership, and Criminal Justice Administration.
The main Ferris State University campus is located in Big Rapids, Michigan, and the university has several state-wide satellite campuses like Alpena, Flint, Petoskey, and Warren.
