A public university, East Carolina University (ECU) was founded in 1907. Having a campus size of 1600 acres, this university is located in Greenville, North Carolina. The college is ranked 28th in Best Medical Schools ( US News and World Report) and has an acceptance rate of 79%. Not only for medical courses but ECU's College of Business belongs among the 5% of World Business Schools accredited by AACSB.
The university offers undergraduate courses, master's programs, 15 doctoral programs, 50 graduate certificates, and 6 first-professional programs. Along with offline courses, it also offers about 100 online courses in the fields of business, healthcare, education, technology, and many more. Some of the popular courses that are opted by a lot of students include- MBA, Accounting, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Anthropology, Biology, and Biomedical Sciences.
The university provides on-campus accommodation for its students. The Division of Student Affairs takes care of the residence life. There are 15 types of college residence halls as well as College Hill Suites (CHS) available only for upper-division students. All the rooms in the residence halls include amenities bankable beds, air conditioning, and a small fridge. The ECU housings maintain a tobacco-free environment.
The university campus has over 500 student organizations which include organizations in the field of tourism, hospitality, and sports management.The students on campus are also allowed to participate in outdoor adventure trips, fitness classes which include yoga, pilates, and various sports events.
The fees including tuition fees, room and board, books and supplies, personal expenses, transportation, and loan fees for the undergraduate program is 39,592 USD and the graduate program is 34,758 USD. The Gamma Iota Sigma Scholarship, The Daniel Gluckman Scholarship, and The Page Family Scholarship are the few scholarships that the university provides to its students.
