Academic Requirements

International students must submit authentic academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, a letter of recommendation for the United States, a CV, and English proficiency test scores to be eligible for Claremont Graduate University. Some schools may need a portfolio and confirmation of professional experience as part of the application process.

Applicants with less than a TOEFL iBT score of 95 or an IELTS score of 7.0 must first complete the International Scholars Program (ISP). Once admitted, you must obtain an I-20 or DS-2019 visa and apply for an F-1 or J-1 scholar student visa to study in the United States. To confirm your admission to CGU, you must also pay the non-refundable tuition deposits.
