When considering students for admission to Boise State, the cumulative, unweighted high school GPA is used.

3.00–4.00 GPA: You meet Boise State's automatic admission requirements and will be accepted once all of the above materials have been received and approved.

2.60 – 2.99 GPA: After submitting two extra items, your application will be given a more thorough review:

Personal statement in response to the prompt below, as well as a 7th-semester transcript showing grades from the first semester or quarter of your senior year.

Personal Statement: Tell us about the goals you've set for yourself as a student at Boise State University in 500 words or fewer. Please also let us know about any personal or academic issues you've had that may have influenced your academic success.

Letters of Recommendation (Optional): If you do not satisfy the automatic admission requirements, you are urged to submit up to two letters of recommendation, as well as a personal statement and your seventh semester transcript. We suggest that you select scholarly sources that can attest to your academic competence and motivation.
