Off-Campus Accommodation
Living off-campus in Brighton & Hove and other nearby towns will allow you to experience city life while also enjoying convenient access to the university. Every type of lodging is self-catered.
University-owned flats
In Brighton's Kings Road, which is on the coast, you can live in a single room. The Sussex campus is easily accessible by bus and train.
The following is included in your rent:
- Water, electricity, and gas bills, as well as service charges
- Cleaning of shared rooms on a regular basis — you do your own laundry and clean your bedroom and bathroom.
- Insurance for the contents (basic cover)
- Maintenance, management, and security services are all available on campus.
As a University campus service, have an Internet connection in the apartments.
University-managed houses
In Brighton and Hove, you can rent a furnished student residence off-campus.
You won't need to put down a deposit or offer a guarantor, and your rent includes all utilities. All off-campus lodging is close to the campus via bus or train.
Privately rented accommodation
The university may offer advice and review your tenancy agreement if you want to rent a room, flat, or house from a private landlord or leasing agent.
On Sussex Studentpad, you may also look for private housing.
