Foundational Programme

 

Depending on the examining board they used to complete their Standard XII coursework, Indian students desiring to enrol in Kent's foundation programme must score between 50 and 55% overall.

 

Undergraduate

 

Students who have earned their Standard XII Higher Secondary School Certificates (Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Examination Certificate, Higher Secondary School Certificate) are eligible to enrol in undergraduate programmes at the university.

 

Depending on the examination board and the planned programme of study, universities usually expect students to acquire a minimum of between 65% and 75% overall in their Standard XII examinations. Specific curriculum and grade requirements may be stated for some courses.

 

Postgraduate

 

Indian students usually need to have finished a three or four-year undergraduate degree (Honours Bachelor degree or Professional degree) at a recognised university or college to be admitted to a Kent postgraduate degree programme (Master's). Sometimes general bachelor's degrees may be taken into account. The postgraduate degree you are applying for and the university you attended will determine the specific criteria.

 

  • Universities typically ask for a First Class degree, a final CGPA of 6.0/10, or 60%, for programmes that call for a 2:1. With a high Second Class degree, and a final CGPA of 5.5/10, or 55%, students from prestigious universities may be taken into consideration

PhD

Indian students normally need to have earned a Master's degree with a First Class designation, a CGPA of 6.0/10, or 60% or equivalent at an approved university in order to be admitted to a Kent PhD programme.
