There is no specific Accommodation office at LSHTM. The Student Advice staff can provide advice on housing alternatives and point students to other information and resources, but the university cannot find or secure housing for students.
University Halls of Residence
They are student halls of residence, with rooms assigned to several University of London (UoL) member institutions, including LSHTM. LSHTM has 35 rooms available in the following halls:
- College Hall
- International Hall
- The Garden Halls
LSHTM students are only eligible to apply for rooms in halls that have been designated for LSHTM. Other room types or rooms in other UoL halls that are not part of LSHTM's quota are not available for application.

Private Halls of Residence
Privately-owned student halls range from the most basic and affordable (sometimes run by a humanitarian organisation) to the most luxurious, resembling a boutique hotel. The university has compiled a list of the majority of student halls in London. The halls provided are:
- Luxury halls
- Charity halls

Private Accommodation
For LSHTM students, private housing is the most popular option. In general, you must be in London to obtain private housing; paying for a hotel before visiting the city and seeing the property is not recommended. As a result, if you intend to hunt for private lodgings, make sure you have short-term lodging secured for at least the first couple of weeks.

Short term Accommodation
The word "short-term" can refer to anything from one night to three months.

Any student who requires special facilities as a result of a disability is encouraged to contact the Student Advice team.
