All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English. The following qualifications are accepted/permitted: 

1 Irish Leaving Certificate: an ordinary level English mark of 6 or better. 

2 GCSE: English Language with a C or above. 

3 US High School: English grade of C in senior year.

  • 6.5 on the IELTS (academic version) (no individual band below 6)
  • IELTS (academic version) 7 (no individual band below 7) for dental courses
  • IELTS (academic version) 7 for Clinical Speech and Language Studies (no individual band below 7) A minimum score of 63
  • on the Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PTE Academic (with no Communication Skills section score below 59) is required
  • English A1, A2, or B: 5 at Higher Level in the International Baccalaureate (4 at Standard Level if presenting IB through English)
