Letterkenny Institute of Technology

Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) is a part of the network of over 11 Institute of Technology colleges spread across the Republic of Ireland. The campus provides the students with facilities such as graphic design studios, a well-equipped library, modern laboratories, a business development centre, careers services, and a learning support centre.

The application process for each course at Letterkenny Institute of Technology varies. The student must apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO) and upload all the required documents. The documents submitted will then be scanned by the CAO and made available to the institution for individual assessment.

If the student wishes to change course between registration and the close of the CAO season, they need to re-apply via the CAO. The change in course is subject to the availability of seats in the program. After the CAO closes, any transfer can be accommodated by informing the admissions office at the institute.
