International students enrolled full-time in a VCC certificate, diploma, or degree programme for six months or longer are allowed to work part-time for up to 20 hours per week throughout their studies and full-time during programme breaks. After finishing an 8-month or longer full-time certificate, diploma, or degree programme, international students will be able to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

 

  • Students at VCC can receive one-on-one guidance, chat with a counsellor, or meet with an advisor to determine the best path for career exploration
  • To look into different career options, Assessment and career options, Career Decision and Action Plans, Job Search Techniques ACED, Effective Communication and Career Access-Academic Upgrading are just a few of the courses available at VCC
  • BC Settlement and Integration Services assists international students (work permit holders) at VCC with job search, resume preparation, and employer networking
  • VCC offers classes such as Career Awareness and Deaf & Hard Hearing-Job Readiness for students with disabilities
  • VCC provides excellent information to assist students with their job hunt during the COVID-19 epidemic
