Admission of University of Montreal

International students wishing to study in Quebec must meet certain government of Quebec and government of Canada regulations. International students must first receive a Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), a study permit, and, in some cases, a visitor visa from the Government of Canada after being accepted to UdeM.

After receiving your formal letter of admission from UdeM, contact the Quebec authorities and the Canadian diplomatic post in your country of residency to obtain these documents. You must demonstrate that you have been admitted to UdeM as a full-time student and that you have adequate financial resources.

It's also important to remember that you'll need to get a guest visa and a study permit before coming to Canada.
