NBCC requires all international and Permanent Resident candidates to demonstrate adequate academic English competence.

If one of our English language training partners provides evidence of English proficiency on a recognised linguistic test or successful completion of a recognised route programme, NBCC may request it.

the applicant's native language is not English; or the applicant has not completed a minimum of three (3) years of secondary education in English; or the applicant has not completed a minimum of one (1) year of successful completion in a recognised post-secondary institution in English.
