Placements

There are certain employing bodies that recruit college students. The employers are :

Magnet Student Work Placement Program: Employers, students, and post-secondary education stakeholders collaborate to offer high-quality work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities through the Student Work Placement programme. Employers can receive pay subsidies if they hire post-secondary students for paid internships. Students benefit by acquiring significant work experience that will help them advance in their careers and assist students in finding employment in their subjects of study.

Canada-Alberta Job Grant: The Canada-Alberta Job Grant is a training programme in which a company can apply for approved training expenditures for present or future employees. Employers choose who receives training and what type of training they require for their staff. The Canadian government contributes money to the Workforce Development Agreement.

Government of Canada - Science And Technology Internship Program: Employers can receive up to $13,200 per internship for a maximum of 52 weeks through the Green Jobs - Science and Technology Internship Program (STIP). This money goes to the intern and is intended to entice employers to hire interns. When a non-federal organisation (a private corporation, university or college, non-profit organisation, or provincial or municipal government) hires an eligible intern to work on research and development projects, it becomes a partner of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). A contribution payment for a portion of the intern's income is available to partners.

Canada Summer Jobs: Not-for-profit groups, public sector employers, and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees in Canada Summer Jobs is a programme that allows you to apply for the money. This grant assists in the creation of jobs for students aged 15 to 30.

Young Canada Works: Young Canada Works provides pay subsidies and access to outstanding individuals with creative ideas and competitive skills to employers in the domains of heritage, arts, culture, and official languages.
